Internet Explorer 11 issues with Windows 8

Somehow I've lost my Internet Explorer shortcuts. Went to Control Panel to see if I could adjust settings and found that Internet Explorer is not visible on Control Panel list either. Went into Windows Settings and unchecked Internet Explorer 11, restarted and then went back and checked Internet Explorer 11 and restarted and still the Control Panel shows no Internet Explorer. Not sure what my next option is.
