VC++ 2008 Redistributable Package installer is missing

Hello,

I understand Chris Sfanos explained that there might be missing packages(https://forums.iis.net/t/1253017.aspx?PLEASE+READ+Installers+no+longer+available+via+WebPI). So this is most likely the case with VC++ 2008 Redistributable Package.

Is this one going to be fixed?

VC++ 2008 reached end-of-life years ago, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releases/2019/servicing#microsoft-visual-c-redistributable

Thanks for the reponse.

That's fair enough.

My issue is only related to WebPI, specifically webpi product VC9Redist (at https://webpifeed.blob.core.windows.net/webpifeed/WebProductList.xml ), because other WebPI products are dependent on it. Therefore a user installing any of those products will see "Download Failed", instead of "End of life" message or similar.

Update to the WebPI feed, so VC9Redist product's installerURL points to https://download.microsoft.com/download/5/D/8/5D8C65CB-C849-4025-8E95-C3966CAFD8AE/vcredist_x86.exe
would be a sufficient fix (obviously discoveryHint, fileSize and sha1 would need to be updated as well).

Then you should ask if those products are also end of life and should be avoid in any case.
